STEPtember 2024

I'm raising funds to move CP research and disability innovation forward.

I'm participating in the STEPtember challenge to raise funds for cerebral palsy research and advancements in technology to benefit disabled people. I'm taking my fitness into my own hands and setting daily activity goals for the month of September. All month long, I'll be raising funds to support Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation (CPARF).

Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common lifelong physical disability in the world, affecting 18 million people of all ages, with 1 in 323 children diagnosed with CP every year. Even though it’s so common, CP doesn’t get the attention or funding it deserves. Your generosity will change that.

Any contribution you make will make a difference. Your gift can support:

  • Research into cutting-edge physical therapy to see what works best for certain children.
  • Painless technology that makes it possible for people with CP to move in ways — and accomplish things — that they never have before.
  • Research into new chronic pain treatments and solutions for people with CP.
  • Technology that makes it easier for people with CP to live their everyday lives right now.

Please help support this great cause by making a donation. It would mean so much to me — and to everyone with CP.

Thanks!

Stepping Up For Paige, Year 5!

Tuesday 10th Sep
Year after year, our participation in STEPtember reminds me of how thankful our family is for the opportunity to be a part of this community that puts so much energy and love behind cerebral palsy research.

Since the conclusion of last year's fundraiser, Paige has added a few more specialists to our docket, made huge strides with her strength and agility, and has somehow managed to surpass all the goals laid out by her various therapists. She and Avery advocated for Cerebral Palsy Alliance selling treats out of a food truck and increased awareness of CP at their preschool, where the entire staff and student body showed their support in green on Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day.

All of these things are incredible on their own: the confidence she's gained through strengthening, crushing goals, or raising awareness for CP. What sets Paige apart from so many others is the advocate she has in her best friend and twin sister. Witnessing all of the ways Avery goes to bat for her sister, the ways in which she stands up for inclusion on the playground or rallies for her successes, they are easily the highlights of the past year.

Paige knows her sister has her back and you can too. By donating to Cerebral Palsy Alliance, you are supporting vital research that will change the future for Paige and others with cerebral palsy. You are investing in an organization that is invested in Paige, and that makes you an essential part of this community, of OUR community, and our family could not be more grateful for your role in it.

May "Year Five" be the year our community shares Paige's story, reaching new people and growing our community of champions for CP.

WHY STEPTEMBER IS IMPORTANT TO ME

IN THE US, A CHILD IS DIAGNOSED WITH CEREBRAL PALSY EVERY 45 MINUTES.

I'm participating this September to fundraise to support Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation in their mission to change what's possible for people with cerebral palsy.

This STEPtember, you're making a life-changing impact for people with CP.

Will you STEP up with me for cerebral palsy?
