I STEP for my son Raymond

I had Raymond when I was 22 shortly after I got married. The years leading up to Raymond's CP, and ultimately VAMP2 diagnosis, were the hardest years of my life. They have taught me forgiveness, love, patience, and sacrifice. They have taught me more than ever life is hard, and life is never the picture you thought it would be. Because of Raymond, I have become the person I am today and will continue to push myself to be the best mother and individual I can be. Raymond's constant smile has made the hard days worth living and I will forever be honored to be chosen as his mother.

Even on our worst days, I am reminded that many families may not ever reach the milestones we have. That breaks my heart and makes me want to help them. 

I hope to inspire the community to never lose hope. To advocate for their children. Because without people like us, change isn’t possible. This will be our 6th year participating in STEPtember, and this year I'm so proud to partner with CPARF as the Raging Raymond Foundation!
